Medapally Dayanand Henry, 76
Medapally Dayanand Henry was born on Friday February 7th 1941 to Henry Medapally and Gnanamma Henry in Vikarabad. He had his primary education in Vikarabad. He continued his education in Hyderabad at the Methodist Boys Multipurpose School. In 1964 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science at Osmania University and later in 1968 completed his Bachelor of Education.
On Wednesday the 7th of February 1968 Mr. Dayanand married the love of his life, Mary Vasumathi Gnanarathnam. They had been married for 49 years, during which they were blessed to have three children, Esther, Steven and Anil. He was also blessed to have five grandchildren, Sheetal, Sanjana, Nora, Koyal and Milan and son-in-law Suraj George and daughter-in-law Kruti Medapally.
In 1968 he joined Mary A. Knotts High School in Vikarabad as a math and science teacher. He later moved to Hyderabad to work at Saint George’s Grammar School. In 1972 he along with his family moved to Kenya in East Africa. He worked as a high school head master at Kaaga Secondary School. He later worked as an education officer at the Teacher Service Commission of Nairobi, Kenya.
In May 1989 he came to the United States of America and worked as a clerk at a law firm in Hyattsville, Maryland. In 1992 he joined Quest Diagnostics as a lab specimen processor. He worked on-site at the Walter Reed Medical Center in D.C. and Bethesda, where he retired.
MARY SUE FENNER (age 77)
On Friday, May 19, 2017 Mary Sue Fenner succumbed to her illness and passed into eternal peace. Mary Sue was the beloved wife of the late Leon Fenner; loving mother of Vanessa A. Fenner, MD; grandmother of Kenneth S. Fenner; sister of Pathy Davis. Also survived by brother in-law Vincent Davis and sister in-law Patricia Abel, as well as family and friends in North Carolina and New Jersey. A Memorial Service will be held at Memorial First India United Methodist Church, 9226 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910 on Wednesday May 24 at 4 p.m. Interment and Burial Services will be at Hollywood Memorial Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ, on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.. Isaiah Calabro (Age 14)
Suddenly on Saturday, May 20, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved son of Carl Calabro and survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Isaiah was a warm, fun-loving boy, adored by all who knew him. We will miss him dearly. Carol Knapstein Carnahan
On Saturday, May 13, 2017, Carol Knapstein Carnahan, 96, died peacefully at her home in Silver Spring, MD after a short illness surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late David Knapstein and the late Robert Carnahan. She is survived by her six children: Carolann Cairns, John Knapstein, Nancy Goldberg (James Hoehn), Mary (Robert) Murphy, Thomas Knapstein, and Peter (Cookie) Knapstein; her 3 step-children, Judy (Jim) Connor, Robert (Carolyn) Carnahan, and Joan Hosmer; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and eight step-great grandchildren; her sister Shirley (Nathan) Finch, and brother William (Lee) Hein, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson Gregory Knapstein.

Vincent LaRue Smith (age 45)
On May 3, 2017, beloved son, devoted father and loving partner, Vincent LaRue Smith passed away at just 45 years old due to complications from Crohn’s disease. Born on May 28, 1971 to Ella Smith and the late Clyde LaRue Smith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son Cameron LaRue Smith, brother Robert Douglas Smith, devoted partner Mary Gonzales, nephew Langston Smith, niece Zasu Smith, Aunt Mary and Uncle John Turner, stepchildren Mikayla and Milton Fleming, former wife Dianna Davis, a host of cousins and a multitude of dear friends. His services will be held at the Washington DC stake center, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 10000 Stoneybrooke Drive in Kensington, Maryland on Friday, May 12. The viewing will begin at 10:00 am with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am.
Despite having Crohn’s since he was 10, Vincent lived a very productive and active life. An avid Boy Scout, he also lettered in swimming, baseball, wrestling and football at Wheaton High School graduating in 1989. He went on to attain a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at James Madison University in 1993 and then a Master in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 2013. He found great joy spending time with his son, coaching youth football, attending concerts, trying different cuisine and traveling with Mary.
